HIGHLIGHTS
  • JEE Mains 2021 exam dates announced by the Education Minister at 6 pm on 15 December 2020, the primary session of JEE Main 2021 to be held from February 23 to 26 in online mode. The JEE Main 2021 are going to be conducted in multiple sessions (February/March/April/May 2021) for admissions within the next school term. The JEE Mains 2021 registration has been started by the NTA from 16 December 2020 to 17 January 2021 (Extended til 23 January).
  • All the programs (B. Tech, B. Arch, M. Tech (Integrated)) of study covered under Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), which was conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, will also be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) 2021 onwards.
  • *NOTE*:  Eligibility criteria, the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination (For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class).

What is JEE Main (2021)?

Joint entrance examination (JEE) – Main or commonly referred to as JEE Main is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA to supply admission to BE/BTech, B. Plan and B. Arch courses at the IIITs, NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions ( CFTIs ) across the country. From 2021, JEE Main is going to be held fourfold. The candidate’s better of the 2021 NTA scores are going to be considered for preparation of merit list/ranking.
Only the highest 2.5 lakh score holders in JEE Mains 2021 are going to be eligible to use for JEE Advanced for admission to different undergraduate engineering programmes offered by IITs in India. The counselling cum seat allotment for all the colleges IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs are going to be managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

JEE Main 2021 Participating Institutes

In 2020, 107 institutes participated in JoSAA Counselling. In 2021, JEE Main taking an interest foundation are those which select understudies through JoSAA. JEE Main 2021 taking an interesting university to incorporate a total of 77 technical institutes including 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

Colleges accepting JEE Main 2020 score

There are around 1,246 B.Tech colleges in India that accept JEE Main scores. These colleges do not participate in the JoSAA counselling process.

JEE Main 2021 Counselling

The counselling of JEE 2021 is going to be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The counselling is going to be a centralised process. All the candidates who will qualify JEE Main and meet the cutoff are going to be eligible to participate within the JoSAA counselling. Candidates are going to be allotted seats as per the supply of seats during a particular institute and course and preferences of choices.

JEE Main Registration 2021

Online registration for JEE Mains 2021 has been started from 16th December 2020. Candidates are ready to fill the application form till 16th January 2021. Candidates can fill the JEE Main 2021 form through online mode. No printout of the application form is going to be entertained. The application correction process is going to be started from 19th January 2021 and students are going to be ready to make the correction online till 21st January 2021.
Things to keep Ready before filling out the JEE Main Application Form
While filling out the JEE Main form 2021 for February session, candidates are going to be required to enter details and upload relevant documents. Therefore, so as to avoid any last-minute problem, candidates are advised to keep the following items available –
  • Class 10th and 12th Academic details
  • Active and valid Email ID
  • Mobile Number
  • Aadhaar card or enrollment number and details of any valid photo ID
  • Scanned/Click Photograph (size: 10-200 kb | Format: example.jpg)
  • Scanned/Click Signature (size: 4-30 kb | Format: example.jpg)
ALERT! : If your Photograph and Signature do not match the size mentioned above, then don’t worry, its size can be minimised or compress by using the following sites-
NOTE: To avoid any technical glitches, candidates are advised to prefer the following web browsers, namely-
  • Google Chrome (Incognito Tab)
  • Google Chrome 3.0
  • Mozilla 3.0 and above
  • Internet Explorer 9 and above

Registration Process

The entire application process has the following 5 STEPS –
  • 1 – Fill Registration Form
  • 2 – Complete Application form
  • 3 – Upload Image
  • 4 – Fee Payment
  • 5 – Download Confirmation Page

Step 1 – Visit the Official NTA website for Registration

Step 2 – Read Instructions for registration
> Read the Instructions carefully.
> Click on the check box and proceed to apply online. [refer below image]

Step 3 – Fill the Registration Details
> Fill the Personal Details- Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, choose and Identification No. (Any government approved ID), D.O.B, Gender and alse Enter Present Address. [refer below screenshot]

> After filling Personal and Address Detail, Now, Choose strong Password. [refer below Format]

> After choosing Password, now Choose Security Question and answer too. Enter Security Pin that display on your screen in my case it’s F7E269. At last, Click on SUBMIT button. [refer below screenshot]

Step 4 – Review Page
> You will be redirected to this review page.

> You may change your details by pressing the “EDIT Registration Form” button or may go to the “Final Submit” button. [refer below screenshot]

2) Complete Application form

> After Completing Registration Form, Click on Application Form. NOTE: write down Application Number for future use. [refer below screenshot]

Step 1 – fill the Credential details
> Fill Personal Details like name, father/mother name, state of eligibility, category, DOB, nationality, gender and place of residence.
> Apply for: Select course, session/attempt, mode of answer, Exam states.
> Fill Qualification details of class 10th and 12th.

> Click on Submit button.

Step 2 – Review Page
> Again, you will be redirected to the review page.
> You may change your credential details by pressing on the “EDIT Application Form” button or may go to the “Final Submit” button.

3) Upload Image/Documents

> After Completing Application form, Click on “Upload Images” button to upload require documents.

> Upload the photograph and signature one by one.
> Click on Preview button and change it, if found not OK!.
> Make sure to verify your final uploaded images and enter the security code. and at last, Click on “final upload” and go to the next step.

4) Application Fee Payment

> Click on the link “Pay Exam Fee“.
> Click on the button “Pay Examination Fee Rs. 650 (One session) or Rs. 2600 (Four session)”.

> Select the mode of payment as via credit/debit card/net banking. Application fee once paid won’t be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.

5) Download Confirmation Page

> Click on “Click here to go Home“.
NOTE: Candidates should secure their user ID, password and application number for the further communication as it may be entertained until the end of admission procedure.
> Click on print the “Confirmation Page“.

NOTE to keep in Mind:
  • In case the confirmation page is not generated after the payment of fee, it means that the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded to the candidate account within a week and however the candidate has to make another transaction till the confirmation Page is not generated.
  • In case the Acknowledgment/Invoice Page is not generated, the candidate should contact the concerned bank/branch to update his/her transaction.
  • After, the acknowledgement of the fee deposited from Bank, then, the candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page, by login to their account again.
> Now, Safely LogOut from the window. You have successfully Submitted the JEE main 2021 Application form.
